Mobile Apps
Fortress App (September 2021 – March 2022)
-I was asked to build a mobile app for a local company, Fortress, that specializes in liquid glass screen protection
-Each purchase comes with a warranty protection plan, and depending on the customers purchase they need to fill out a form
-My responsibility was to take the website they already had and make a prototype for a mobile app that works on both iOS and Android
-This was my first time using React to build a mobile app, but I have had experience writing in JavaScript so it was easy for me to pick up and learn
-The most challenging part of the entire project was learning to work with databases
-I used MySQL for the database that hosted the data when you send out the form, but I had to use PostgreSQL for the Pin Code verification because I had trouble getting the data imported into a table on MySQL
-I don’t claim to be an expert when it comes to the backend work, but it was good for me to familiarize myself with being able to create and work with databases
-Currently the company is undergoing some ownership changes, and I am not sure if the app will be produced in the future or not
-Even if the app does not reach final production, I still believe this was most enduring and intensive programming experience and it was beneficial to experience using databases

Websites
Sonicu Product Finder (July 2020 – September 2020)

-During the summer of 2020, I was asked to take an internship helping a local company develop a subsidiary website to aide their customers in helping to find the right product to buy
-My first professional job for a company, which required strict deadlines and I had to adhere to executive standards
-Jason Young, now CTO of Sonicu, oversaw most of my work during the 2 month development process
-I conducted weekly sprints and meet at the end of the week to provide Jason with updates
-I used WordPress with a paid plan that allowed 3rd party plugins and some custom CSS to build the website at the companies expense
-I integrated Shopify Buy-Now Buttons from their already existing catalog to allow the customer to directly shop for the products from the Product Finder website
-At the end of the 2 month development process, I pitched my new Product Finder website to the entire company of about 50 people
-After I finished with the project, I passed it back off to the company to maintain in the future
-It currently is still being used by the company, and is displayed on their main website when you go to make any purchase
-Here is a link to visit the subsidiary website I developed for Sonicu: https://productfinder.sonicu.com/

Pow-Now Store (March 2021)
-Pow-Now is a hypothetical online ski/snowboard rental company I created a website for during my web development class at Indiana University. I created the website entirely only using HTML and CSS. I was proud of my ability to use a new language and create a brand using my game design skills
