Hank Tuttle’s Game Design Portfolio

I’m a game designer with a diverse skillset, specializing in user experience & user interface design. My passion for game design is to bring the best user experience possible! My development plans to achieve this goal have included conducting external playtests to gather analytics and feedback throughout all stages of production. I collect my feedback through surveys and analyze the results to determine what the best player experience would be for all of my games! I have experience in other areas of game design, such as level & systems designs, and I am versed in a multitude of programming languages including C#, C++, Java, Python, and more. I have experience using VFX in Unity, and have used a large variety of other game engines including Unreal, GoDot, Constuct, and more. I have used my skills in game design to develop other user – centered technologies, including websites and most recently a mobile application for a local company, Fortress.

Pong Replica March 2021 – May 2021

Classic Pong game replica I made for my Web Development class final. I was proud of my coding ability in this game, and I made it completely web accessible using CodePen. There were some bumps in the road along the way, as this was my first game I created using JavaScript, but I was able to master a new language and solve most of the problems I ran into by using my resources.

-User Interface & User Experience Design
-Full Stack Development

Websites and Mobile Apps July 2021 – April 2022

As I’ve been trying to get my foot in the door of the game industry, I have used my skills in game design to get paid for other projects. Last year I worked for a local company, Sonicu, to help build and design a subsidiary websites meant to aide the customer in finding the right product. Most recently, I was hired to design and build a prototype mobile application for a different local company, Fortress. Even though my passion is for games, these projects were great stepping stones for me to diversify my programming experience and learn how to work in a professional environment.
